A little care helps keep your jewellery looking its best. The right routine depends on the materials used in each piece, so always follow the guidance for its most delicate component.
This design contains brass. Keep it dry and away from sweat, perfume and other chemicals. Remove before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Brass jewellery is best suited to fully healed piercings and occasional wear.
316L surgical steel is a durable choice for healed piercings. Surgical steel contains nickel, so titanium may be a better option if you have a known nickel sensitivity.
Brass allows for intricate, decorative designs but requires more care. Keep it away from water, sweat, perfume and other chemicals, and use it only in fully healed piercings.
When a piece contains more than one material, follow the care guidance for its most delicate component. Because this design includes brass, keep the whole piece dry and use it only in fully healed piercings.
Material is only one part of choosing jewellery for a healing piercing. Gauge, length, threading, design and surface finish must also suit your anatomy. If your piercing is still healing, speak to a professional piercer before changing your jewellery.

Bar length is measured along the wearable post only, not including the decorative top or flat back.
