QUICK SIZING GUIDE
Quick Size Check

These are the measurements for this piece of jewellery. If this product has multiple sizes, the guide will use your selected size where available. Compare with jewellery that already fits you comfortably if you're unsure.

Gauge / Thickness 16G (1.2MM) The thickness of the jewellery that passes through your piercing.
Wearable Length 6MM - 8MM The wearable length of the bar or post, excluding decorative ends.
💡 Sizing Tip Gauge numbers work in reverse — the lower the gauge number, the thicker the jewellery.
Piercing sizes aren't one-size-fits-all. These recommendations describe common uses for healed piercings and are not a guarantee of fit. Always consider the jewellery design, your piercing placement and your individual anatomy. New or healing piercings should be sized by a professional piercer.

A note about healing piercings

Material is only one part of choosing jewellery for a healing piercing. Gauge, length, threading, design and surface finish must also suit your anatomy.

If your piercing is still healing, speak to a professional piercer before changing your jewellery.

Choose the right moments for your jewellery

Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, moisturiser, hairspray or other beauty products. Avoid unnecessary friction and prolonged exposure to moisture.

Protect from exposure
Water, sweat and everyday chemicals

Chlorine, seawater, sweat, perfume and household chemicals can gradually affect coated or plated finishes. Remove your jewellery before swimming and dry it promptly if it becomes wet.

Clean gently
Simple care without harsh products

Clean carefully with a soft cloth. If a deeper clean is needed, use a lightly dampened cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid polishing compounds, abrasive products and harsh chemical cleaners.

Avoid bleach, alcohol, abrasive cleaners and other harsh chemicals.

Store with care
Keep your jewellery clean, dry and protected

Store your jewellery somewhere clean and dry, ideally separately from other pieces to prevent scratches or tangling. The pouch provided with your order is perfect for keeping it protected.

Protecting your PVD finish

Apply perfume, moisturiser and hairspray before putting on your jewellery. Avoid abrasive cloths, polishing treatments and prolonged exposure to chlorine or seawater.

If your piercing is still healing

Jewellery care is different from piercing aftercare. If your piercing is new, irritated or still healing, speak to a professional piercer before changing your jewellery.

Q&A

Would I need the 6mm or 8mm for ear lobe?
Hi - this really depends on the individual. If you have thicker earlobes we would recommend an 8MM, if you have small thin earlobes then 6MM should be suitable.
Is this a set or just one stud
Hi there. Cartilage studs are sold individually
